Use AI at work

Oxford Generative and Agentic AI Programme

Evaluate use cases, build a simple agent and frame a business case for AI adoption.

Curriculum

  • LLMs, viable use cases and workflow limitations.
  • Agent types and orchestration patterns.
  • Hands-on agent build, framework comparison and governance artefacts.
Before you start

No advanced technical background; familiarity with digital tools helps.

Who it suits

Our assessment, based on the syllabus.

Operations leader

Connect agents to measurable improvements.

Technology director

Assess platforms, integration and oversight.

Senior consultant

Advise clients on credible pilots and adoption.

Expected outcomes

  • Build and compare a simple agent in guided work.
  • Use a use-case template and governance checklist.
  • Practise assessing a proposed investment and its oversight needs.
Example application

Build a small workflow agent and prepare a proposal for a controlled pilot.

Limits

  • Well above the affordable shortlist.
  • A guided simple build does not equal production engineering capability.

How current is it?

Current syllabus explicitly covers agent orchestration and guided building.

When to choose it

Consider this if you want both management coverage and a guided agent build, and have an employer-funded budget.
