What the credentials mean

These are mainly short-course credentials. They do not confer a degree, professional licence or graduate qualification. Check the issuing university unit and the requirements for earning the credential.

Certificate of completion

Records that you met a course’s requirements. Check the issuer’s name, such as Harvard Online, HarvardX or MIT Open Learning.

Record of Completion, badge or CPD hours

These document learning, but may not carry academic credit or count towards a larger programme. Stanford’s individual-course Record of Completion is distinct from its full programme certificate.

No confirmed credential

Courses without a confirmed certificate are labelled. Use the credential filter to exclude them.

About this guide

Sources and recommendations

Course pages link to the university or its authorised platform. Fees, study hours, prerequisites and credentials were checked on 20 October 2026. Suggested roles, outcomes and workplace examples are our interpretation of the syllabus; examples are not promised assignments or measured productivity gains.

Course updates

Each review notes whether the syllabus includes agents and current tools, or concentrates on established methods. Where no lesson revision date is published, the review says so. An open enrolment date does not tell us when lessons were updated.

Costs

Fees retain their advertised currency: US dollars or pounds sterling. Subscription totals depend on completion time; tax, regional pricing, tools and compute can add costs. “Lower-cost options” is our selection for people paying their own fees, not a single price ceiling across currencies.
